Brandi Powell is a New York-based writer and producer from West Virginia. A graduate of New York University, she majored in Dramatic Writing and earned a minor in producing. Her script "Heat Lightning" made the 2024 Golden List and was a Quarterfinalist for the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards. Her script "Holy Hell" was a Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft TV Pilot Script Competition as well as the Filmmatic Comedy Screenplay Awards. She is a producer for Tenth Planet Productions, specializing in documentary and music special production. Her projects at Tenth Planet include The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (Disney+/ABC/Hulu, 2023 & 2024), The iHeart Radio Music Awards (FOX, 2023 & 2024), A Grammy’s Salute to The Beach Boys (CBS/Paramount+), and Foo Fighter’s Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert (CBS/Paramount+), which spanned two live shows in London and Los Angeles. Brandi has also been an Associate Producer for Behind the Music (Paramount+) and the Emmy-nominated Drew Barrymore Show (Syndicated). When she’s not trying to overtake the world, she enjoys staring lovingly at her dog, Ringo, turning her love of reading into a competition, and running half-marathons she signed up for as a joke.
