Brandi Powell is a Los Angeles-based writer, producer, and recovering hillbilly from West Virginia. She received her BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her half-hour comedy pilot “Last Wish Club” was selected for the 2025 NYU Pitchfest and is a finalist for the 2026 Anarchist United Writers Discovery Fellowship. "Heat Lightning" made the 2024 Golden List and was a Quarterfinalist for the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards. Her half-hour comedy "Holy Hell" was a Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft TV Pilot Script Competition as well as the Filmmatic Comedy Screenplay Awards. She is a producer for Tenth Planet Productions, specializing in documentary and music special production. Her projects at include The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (Disney+/ABC/Hulu, 2023-2026), The Roast of Kevin Hart (Netflix, 2026), and Fire Aid (2025). When she’s not trying to overtake the world, she enjoys staring lovingly at her dog, Ringo, turning her love of reading into a competition, and running half-marathons she signed up for as a joke.
